June 29th, 2026- Actual Updates and Hyperfixating
I may flatter myself but it is beginning to look slightly more like a real life website. Having used website builders like Wix and Squarespace in the past, I gotta say it's way more interesting and rewarding to DIY it, although I also realize I've barely scratched the surface. The good thing is that wanting things to look a certain way is a really good motivator to learn how to wrangle different HTML and CSS elements. The other good thing is my ADHD is extremely into this right now. Hopefully I can get the site set up and templates made so even when I'm not in Hyperfocus Mode I can get new events up fairly easily. For right now, though, I'm in full hyperfixation mode and keep shouting "YES" when I get something to work and forgetting to go to the bathroom or eat. I realize this makes it sound unpleasant, but it's fully fantastic.
Anyway, updates: Figured out the format I want for now for preview graphics for events; made one for the untitled bridge show and one for the deathmatch from forever ago; made progress on organizing and editing all the pictures I have in the backlog; and got the final Necroprophecy images up and linked in correctly. Still need to add the other two bands to that page, and make them individual show graphics for their own pages, and also do a whole lot of research into the Dante's show- turns out if shoot a show for the first time since being paid to do it a certain way and you revel in not having to write down dates and names and info and stuff, it's really quite hard to fill all that in several years later. I think if I'd done it all "correctly" at the time, though, my head would have exploded. It's a miracle I even got the images off the SD card. It was a weird time.
I'll probably leave all that for a bit. Next up is finishing the untitled show, and then Red, White, and Bruised. Then the backlog, including the Dante's show, Skatefest, Skullfest from 2025, Slaughterhouse show.... etc etc.
