June 26th, 2026- Patriotic wrasslin', HTML as a replacement for doomscrolling, and Mysterious Past Lore
Last night I went to a wrestling event here in town (unusual)- Red, White and Bruised , put on for the Vienna Freedom Festival by Big Time Wrestling. I think at least one, and maybe two or three, of the wrestlers were the same ones I shot way back in 2024 at a combined music/burlesque/deathmatch wrestling show a friend of mine put on in Frostburg, MD. Working on editing those as well. That was the first time I had shot wrestling since I left AEW- it was a bit of a test for myself, to see if I could do it without completely freaking out, since I was still very much healing at that point. I still am, really, but I've come far- hardly any weird feelings around last night's event. Partly it's because indie is different enough from AEW that it doesn't quite trigger the same stuff. I had fun with it! And thanks to my Lovely Assistant Jack, who can be seen elsewhere on this site as the bassist for Hell is Here and Phasm.
Anyways, add that to the list of things to eventually upload. It's far too easy to get started with one goal in mind- put two photos next to each other in a certain ratio, for example- and then fall completely down the rabbit hole with HTML and CSS. Seems like I spent more time finding, understanding, and fixing issues today than making significant changes, but we are looking a little different. And to the person on a years-old forum who had the specific answer to why my CSS sheets were not linking correctly, thank you forever, ?id=3 is the magic formula to end all magic formulas.
I will actually do those uploads soon, though, since I gave out some cards after the event for the performers to come get their pictures. Hello folks, I am working on it, and if you did a deathmatch in a bar in western Maryland in 2024 I am somehow working on that too. Hard to believe the way I used to shoot and edit thousands and thousands of pictures over multiple shows every week, staying up for 24+ hours straight and flying around the country. How did I do that? (I mean, besides by stressing myself out so bad my hair fell out and I got an ulcer. LORE!)
